Poroporoaki / Farewell Dinner

The phrase poroporoaki is often applied to the Māori process of fare-welling visitors before their departure.  It is a time where both visitors and hosts feast together, deliver speeches of appreciation, sing songs and embrace one final time before the visitors take their leave.  This form of poroporoaki is a festive time, full of laughter, joy and the promise of future encounters.  Our poroporoaki dinner is our opportunity to say thank you for attending our conference, to celebrate our achievements, revel in each-others company and release you to travel safely home to your lands.

The poroporoaki dinner will take place at the Claudelands Event Centre following the President Reception.  Dinner will include a two course meal with tea and coffee. Limited wine will be available on the tables and a cash bar will be operating.

To register and pay for the Poroporoaki Dinner, complete the Poroporoaki/Conference Dinner section on page 2 of your Conference Registration.
