Why NAISA Conference?

NAISA is the premiere international & interdisciplinary professional organization for scholars, graduate students, independent researchers, and community members interested in all aspects of Indigenous Studies.

The aim of the annual conference is to provide a critical and safe space for scholars to critique, go beyond, perform and advocate within a number of sub and interdisciplinary Indigenous Studies forums.

In anticipation, the University of Waikato welcomes delegates to Aotearoa/New Zealand in June 2019 to partake in the first NAISA conference to be held outside of the US and Canada.

If you are interested or involved in Indigenous Studies, this is the conference to attend.

You will have access to the global thought leaders on Indigenous Development and establish invaluable insights and relationships in the field.

The conference will refresh, refocus and rethink your curricula, research and scholarships in terms of Indigenous Studies as an international discipline.

Nau mai, haere mai.
